Since the adoption of the Flood Risk Management Directive in 2007, INFRASTRUKTUR & UMWELT Professor Böhm und Partner has supported the Ministry of Environment in Baden-Württemberg in the implementation of the Directive. The work directly related to the Directive is to be transferred into standard administrative procedures in the 3rd cycle (2022 – 2027).
Currently, the challenges of the impacts of climate change on water management are moving more into focus of the assistance and consultation. On the one hand, this is the management of heavy rainfall risks, including in urban areas (water-sensitive settlement development). On the other hand, the impacts of water shortages during dry periods are relevant for the work of water management and must be included in the tasks.
