From 20 to 22 May 2025, the project partnership of the INTERREG VI B NWE project “IB-Green” met in Singen (Germany). During the meeting, INFRASTRUKTUR & UMWELT (IU) presented a draft of the structure and essential contents of the transnational IB-Green Toolbox for climate adaptation in industrial and business parks. The partnership discussed and further developed the draft collaboratively in several international workshop sessions. The toolbox aims to consolidate experiences and tools for climate adaptation from six countries and make them transferable and accessible for stakeholders in other municipalities and industrial and business parks. Its goal is to encourage the implementation of adaptation measures in many locations. Practical examples and experiences gained in the IB-Green project will showcase concrete possible implementation strategies. In addition to the workshops, the programme included a site visit to the pilot project area (local industrial and business park in Singen) and a workshop on climate communication.
In the INTERREG VI B project “IB-Green”, 11 project partners from North-West Europe are developing climate adaptation measures in industrial and business parks. The aim is to reduce heat stress in pilot sites by implementing green-blue infrastructures. Thus, the project makes an important contribution to healthier working and living conditions as well as to reduced climatic and economic risks for companies and municipalities.
INFRASTRUKTUR & UMWELT Professor Böhm und Partner (IU) supports the project in coordinating the content of the project tasks as well as in financial and project management. IU works closely with the project partners to implement the ongoing activities of the partnership and to support and coordinate the transnational meetings.
